By October 22, 2008 CMES seeks a graduate student facilitator for Lebanese film "The Kite," directed by Randa Chahal Sabag and released in 2003. CMES is sponsoring this film for the Global Film Initiative during International Education Week. We are scheduled to screen "The Kite" on Wednesday evening, November 19. See: http://www.globalfilm.org/lens08/kite.htm for film information and a trailer. The facilitator will be responsible for a pre-screening introduction and a post-screening discussion session. CMES will provide discussion guides for the facilitator and a $100 scholarship payment. Please contact CHRISTIAN SINCLAIR if you are interested in the facilitator role for this film. Ideally CMES would like to have someone who has experience in Lebanon and who has the ability to "promote cross-cultural understanding through cinema"...the goal of the Global Film Initiative.
