Students enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Persian and Iranian studies who have completed all coursework for the Ph.D. except the dissertation, and who have maintained a GPA of 3.5 or better are eligible for this award. In exceptional cases, the committee may consider outstanding students with high GPA's who are in the Master's program, or at an earlier stage of their Ph.D. program.
