For the 30th anniversary of Encyclopedia Iranica, a panel of UA professors presents their contribution to what has been referred to as "the identity card of Iranian peoples,” and "the greatest scientific project of the 20th century concerning the Middle East." Panelists include Professors Richard Eaton, Michael Bonine, Anne Betteridge, Mansour Rastegar, and Kamran Talattof.

5:15 -6 PM, Celebrating the International Year of Rumi (in Persian)

To celebrate the 800th birth anniversary of Persian poet Jalal al-Din Rumi (Molavi), UNESCO dedicated last year as the International Year of Rumi. Dr. Mansour Rastegear will give a presentation about Rumi's life and poetry.
