The Arabic Program
Welcome to the website for Arabic in Near Eastern Studies at the University of Arizona. NES has one of the top Arabic programs in the U.S., offering instruction in Arabic language, linguistics, literature, culture and society. Our Arabic Professors include Drs. Samira Farwaneh, Adel Gamal, Yaseen Noorani and Martha Schulte-Nafeh, who also holds an appointment as Middle Eastern Languages Program Coordinator in the Center for Middle Eastern Studies.
